Jupiter has been the evening star for a while but now he is too close to the Sun at sunset. In the fall we will see it before sunrise. Jupiter travels through the zodiac in about 11-12 years and spends approximately one year in each sign. Since late May 2024 he has been in Gemini so Gemini folks have probably had a pretty good year. Improved communications, new friends, creative writing and publishing. More of you have joined Facebook, Instagram or X (Twitter). You may have made more money, expanded your business, moved, traveled or gone back to college. Jupiter expands things. This is also a cheerful, optimistic influence. Your health is better. Your family could increase during this time, with new babies or grandchildren entering the picture. This month’s graphic features the Sun in Cancer joined by Jupiter and the balsamic crescent Moon around June 24.
If you were born in 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989 or 2001, it is roughly estimated that Jupiter was going through Gemini, so you have just had a Jupiter return. I have several friends born in February and March of 1954 who have just had their Jupiter returns. Jupiter was in Gemini early that year. I was born later, in June 1954. Presently, a new cycle is beginning. You may move to a nicer house or another part of the country. There is a big change or an opportunity. You may begin a new relationship or get married. Or you might just feel good.
On June 9 Jupiter will enter Cancer, the sign of his exaltation. If you were born in 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990 or 2002, it is your turn. I have reflected on my Jupiter returns of previous years. It was different every time. It depended on what the other planets were doing. Sometimes life was uneventful but content. In 1966, at my first Jupiter return, I had straight A’s in 6th grade, and it was a happy year. 1978 and 1990 were very good times for me, and in both of those years I had better jobs and more recognition. I expanded my art career. I had lots of friends and social activities. Now, three returns later, most of my friends have passed out of my life and I don’t get out much. I lead a solitary life but it’s not bad. It’s the natural progression of things. The upcoming Jupiter return remains to be seen, however. Who knows what it will bring?
Things change, that’s all. This summer when Jupiter returns to his natal place, starting with the New Moon, my birthday and solar return, he is also conjunct my natal Moon, Sun and Mercury, trine to natal Saturn. My natal chart is terrific to begin with!
Just a comment about Mercury aspects: Because of Mercury, my modes of expression have changed and progressed with the times. I used to write lots of letters, take notes in a binder and fill spiral notebooks with journals. The binder and other folders are on a book shelf gathering dust. Now I write daily in a journal on my laptop, and talk to people on Facebook. I have over 650 Facebook friends, some who I knew in childhood, high school or college. I use email for a lot of things but mostly I communicate on Facebook, Messenger and my cellphone. (I was always a talker and a social animal. Jupiter conjunct Mercury!) I have two perfectly good digital cameras but now I take pictures on my cellphone everywhere I go. Things change!

Saturn and Neptune here will begin a period of personal change. Leadership, spirituality and creative inspiration are favored. Don’t fight it, run with it. Some of you are evolving. Some of you are simply growing up. You may be shedding your old skin and becoming a new person. It will be different for everyone and perhaps not felt right away. With the Summer Solstice on June 21, and Mercury and Jupiter in Cancer, there will be activities and changes at home.
Venus here the whole month will be great for you. Friendships and affairs will blossom. You have affection for everyone. Creativity, finances and real estate are favored. You might come into some money, perhaps unexpectedly. At the end of the month Venus catches up to Uranus here for a few weeks and that could really be fun. Creative inspiration is stimulated and there could be a whirlwind romance. Mars moving into Virgo will step up your social life. Plan on going out more.
Mercury and Jupiter here at the beginning of the month are good for business and communications so take advantage of it. Uranus is about to knock on your door and will enter Gemini next month, so get ready for that. While the Sun is here, you are in the spotlight which is nice, too. Make new connections, ask for favors, go out for your birthday and enjoy yourself. Mars in Virgo will bring work or projects at home. You’re going to be pretty busy!
The Summer Solstice is on June 21 and as you know, this is the highlight of the year for Cancers. A new cycle begins. Beginnings of all kinds are favored. Careers, romance and family life bring happiness. Mercury here improves communications. Jupiter arrives on June 9 and I can’t say enough about that. Watch the New Moon on June 25, with a beautiful conjunction of Moon, Sun and Jupiter! Celebrate. Make a wish. Good luck and opportunity await you. The future is bright. Even if this is not a Jupiter return, when Jupiter is in your sun sign it is still a great transit. This will be a very good year for you.
While Mars is still here until June 17, you can make your move. You get things done. Your energy level is high. Mercury arrives end of month which helps communications. You might get some news. Venus enters Taurus and this helps your career. Creativity, film, the arts, fashion, advertising, marketing and retail figure into it. This will be a very interesting month. Because of Venus, a trip or excursion could be in the plan at the beginning of the month.
Mars arrives on June 17 and you will feel a big change in the energies. This is a positive period for you. You get a jumpstart. Begin new projects and check if you have old ones on the back burner. Clear them out. Finish them or dump them. It is a new cycle, in some way. Start working out again, make changes in your diet and other habits. Get outside more. Your health is good, or much improved. Join a gym or try something new like hiking or yoga.

New connections are possible. There will be social activities with your colleagues, good for forming lasting ties that help you in the future. Hey, you never know. Leave no stone unturned. Uranus is about to enter Gemini. Travel is favored, and a trip is coming up for you.
Mars in Leo gets your career engines going. You will be very busy and ambitious, that’s fine as long as you don’t step on other people’s toes. The Cancer planets are very good for travel, especially Jupiter. Watch the New Moon on June 25. Trips for business and for pleasure are coming up throughout the next year. You will learn a lot and expand your world view. Venus in your marriage house favors romance and all partnerships.
Read about Gemini. Mercury and Jupiter are good for marriage while they are still there. Coming up soon, next month, is Uranus entering Gemini and there will surprises or upheaval in relationships. It’s not necessarily bad, it just brings excitement. Pay attention. Roll with it and have some fun. Single people will meet someone new and different. It will happen unexpectedly. Mars in Leo favors travel the first half of the month. The Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11 brings something to completion or climax.

Mars lingering in your marriage house gives you one last chance to thrash out your differences. After June 17 when Mars enters Virgo, things calm down and life goes on. Venus in Taurus all month makes things nice at home. Relax more, have people over for tea or a barbecue. Redecorate or add some artistic touches to your home. Romance is favored and you might find love in your own backyard. When Venus joins Uranus in the last degree of Taurus, end of June, there might be a surprise, perhaps in your professional life.
