Mars is retrograding in Gemini until mid-January. You should be used to this energy by now. Communications, speaking engagements, interviews, publishing, writing projects or hands-on creative projects may slow down or change direction. Something may be put off for a while. There will be problems with cellphones, computers or audio equipment. Gemini ruled things. It happens that Mars Rx is on the cusp of my 5th house. (Entertainment.) My stereo just quit on me. It won’t read my CDs! Mars being what it is, there is a cancellation, conflict or disagreement involved. You may be pushing to achieve something and hit a brick wall. The best thing to do is put the project on the back burner and figure out an alternate plan. Or simply wait and see. Work on something else. Generally speaking, people may get into a fight, confrontation or minor accident more easily at this time so be careful.
I have had Jupiter Rx in Aries, my 2nd house, the house of money, possessions and things of value. I recently spent a lot of money. Jupiter tends to make people do that. Impulse purchases. To add to it, Mars Rx was also square to Jupiter Rx, and you know how impulsive Mars is. We buy toys, cars, fancy liquor and travel to exotic places. I bought a new bed, a high-ticket item I really needed only to find out there was something wrong with it. My extravagant splurge ended up being a problem. I also had some routine repairs that ended up costing a lot of money. Plumbing and the annual oil change in my car. Parts and service have gone up due to inflation.
A few years ago, I had Uranus going back and forth in my 2nd house (a seven year stay in one sign), with several retrogrades, and each time there was an unexpected expense that hit my bank account hard. For example, my computer died one day, and I had to get a new one. Fixing a problem, finding a solution and so forth can take time to get straightened out. Retrogrades slow everything down. Read August 2021, October 2021, August 2022 and September 2022 for other comments about retrogrades. This year I could have waited for Jupiter to go direct but I didn’t even think. Acting like an Aries I went right in with my head down. Oops!
I’m not complaining and really, I’m not worried. I’m not broke or anything. I’m merely illustrating how retrograde planets can work. We can’t always see ahead clearly. Purchases don’t always backfire. If something like the stereo breaks down, it is usually worn out. Stuff happens. Just make sure you have a little nest egg saved just in case. As my dad once said, it’s only money.

Clearly, there are various activities you might want to put off when a planet stations Rx, or else take a different approach. You shouldn’t get married during Mercury Rx or Venus Rx. There may be misunderstandings down the road. But some people go ahead anyway, and things work out just fine. If you have Rx planets in your birth chart you may have a natural instinct about how to handle the energy.
One last minute comment about Jupiter Rx, moving back into Pisces for a short meet-up with Neptune. Jupiter conjunct Neptune brings financial good luck from out of nowhere. For example, a secret benefactor. I know someone this just happened to! God works in mysterious ways.

In the second week there is burst of energy and possibly confrontations or outbursts. Especially around the Full Moon on December 7, something comes to a head. Just be aware of what’s going on and try get along with everyone in general. Find things to do and keep busy.
Jupiter is in the last degrees of Pisces until December 20. If you need a favor or loan now, you can get it. You feel good, cheerful and optimistic. Explore new subjects or different activities. Get in a vacation at a seaside locale, Mexico or the Caribbean if you can. Travel and adventure are favored. A chance to go on a spiritual or religious retreat, such as an ashram or spa in Arizona. A vision quest perhaps. Marriage is favored at the Winter Solstice.
While the Sun is still in Sagittarius, social life, romance and children’s activities are favored. Good times this month. When Jupiter moves into Aries, a fire sign, on December 20, this is very good for Leos. Travel and expanding your horizons are favored. Go back to school. Take a dream vacation sometime in the next few months. Business interests in faraway places will do well and bring profits.
Jupiter’s last hoorah in Pisces could still bring good luck, before December 20. A relationship could grow and develop and bring great happiness. A partner or friend could be helpful to you. Business relationships are favored. A soulmate may appear in your life. This could be a romance or simply a friendly soul who shares ideas with you. The Winter Solstice brings good holiday times, romance and fun with children and family.
First Mercury and Venus arriving in Capricorn then the Winter Solstice bring happy times at home for Libra folks, throughout most of the month.
