The Sun is catching up with Pluto and the two of them arrive together in Aquarius on January 20-21. It is one thing when a planet changes signs, bringing a change in energies but it’s another when the Sun is along for the ride.
In this case, the Sun illuminates Pluto and increases the focus on Pluto affairs. Pluto is subtle and stays mostly below the surface, but is powerful nevertheless. This is the planet of transformation. You might not realize what has happened until you turn and look behind you. But keep in mind, it is all for the best. Think positive. Watch the Full Moon on January 25. Something could come to a head that day.
Here is an interesting astrological tidbit for those who want to look more closely. I read something once about anaretic degrees. The last degree of a sign, 29°-29°59’, is the anaretic degree and a highly sensitive point for a planet going through there. Some astrologers call it the Fate Degree. The Sun and Pluto leaving Capricorn together might have a more powerful punch. (In March 2023 when Pluto first entered Aquarius, the Sun was in a different sign, Aries.) This is the last chance to work off a karmic debt. After the crisis, should that be the case, you may have an awakening. Some of you may go through a complete personal change. The ingress, 0° of the next sign, is where the energy of the next sign is most strongly felt, in this case Aquarius.
On the political scene, because of Pluto and the Jupiter Uranus conjunction coming up in the spring, crazy stuff continues to happen. People who shall not be named keep bending the rules. I wish I could see what is coming but I can’t. One thing is certain, there is a lack of integrity and competence in this country’s leadership. Whoever gets to the top of the heap next fall will have his work cut out for him, and must realize the serious responsibility of his office.
Mars enters Capricorn, his sign of exaltation, on January 4, until February 13. I wish this transit would last longer, as this is the best place for Mars energies to be used wisely. This is also my personal Mars return so I especially look forward to it. Mercury stations direct on New Year’s Day which is a relief for some people. Life will get back to normal. Later in the month, Venus enters Capricorn on January 23, moving closer to Mars. For a couple of weeks, in February and March, they will be in conjunction in Aquarius, kissing once again.
