The Summer Solstice is almost here! My favorite time of the year. One cycle ends and a new one begins. From June 2020: Practice patience, kindness, consideration and forbearance in public places. There is a lack of patience and common courtesy. It’s worse in 2022 with Mars in Aries. People are getting into public confrontations. If you are going out, be nice. If someone pulls out in front of you without signaling, don’t get all bent out of shape. Let it go.
Also from 2020: Herbs for the Summer Solstice include sage, mint, sunflower, basil and lavender. Rituals, divinations and other observations are most effective held at noon when the sun is highest in the sky on June 21. I usually start early to celebrate my birthday which comes right after the Summer Solstice. I try to let go of all fears and worries. Every year is different, but I usually go through a kind of healing process and renewal.
Mars in Aries, his own sign, is a troublemaker. I am a Cancer with Mars in Capricorn opposite my Sun. Transiting Mars in Aries squares this aspect. I feel it every time Mars goes though the cardinal signs and I have to be careful. I’ve already had a taste of Mars recently. I’m accident-prone, reactionary and righteously indignant. I’ve seen some rude behavior and have the urge to tell people off. I’ve been a little abrasive. I’ve made some shocking comments on Facebook. I don’t know where that came from. Oops. Sorry folks. But this is what Mars in Aries does. Change begins when someone gets mad. We can clear the air under this transit.
Mars conjunct Jupiter is a powerful transit with a lot of energy and for the most part, very fortunate. People in general are motivated. Even the laziest folks will have a burst of energy. They will jump up and start cooking or cleaning house. There is an emphasis on sports, health, fitness and physical activity. This influence only lasts about a week, but you’ll notice something during the first half of June. Adventure is out there. Jupiter expands whatever you are doing.

Pluto is in 28-27 Capricorn (Rx) all month, in the same place he was in 1776 in the chart of America, the Pluto return. I’ve been meaning to comment on this with respect to the country rather than individuals. There is irreversible change and upheaval. Much of it is below the surface. We won’t notice until we look behind us later. Examples of what’s going on: the threats to abortion rights and Roe v. Wade, the conservative leaning of the SCOTUS, the polarization of the two-party system, the increase in mass shootings and public outcry to change gun laws. (I observed this before the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.) The war in Ukraine (February 24) has drastically affected the prices of gas, food and manufactured goods. It’s more expensive just to live. We’ve been in the middle of the Pluto return since last year and it will continue until Pluto enters Aquarius in April 2023. Pluto will station and move back into Capricorn briefly a few more times, straddling the two signs. Better tighten up your belts, people.

There could be a romantic obsession. A new relationship could transform your life. Creativity and finances are favored with Venus in Taurus.
The Sun is here until the Solstice. Mercury is back here in his ruling sign on June 13, which is great for communications, friendships and making new connections of all kinds. Venus arrives here on June 23. A mild influence which is nice for relationships and creativity. Go shopping and buy nice things for yourself or your home. Watch the Sagittarius Full Moon on June 14. This could be an important day. A cycle is completed or a project comes to a climax.

Like Aries you can get a lot accomplished if you focus. Take care of your health, eat right and get enough sleep. While the Sun is still in Gemini, work on career plans. When Mercury moves back into Gemini on June 13 communications improve and work goes more smoothly. There will be more calls and meetings. While Venus is in Taurus you may have an opportunity to travel. Go on a cruise. Then Venus arrives in Gemini on June 23 which is nice. Diplomacy, entertainment, social connections and the arts are favored. Women may be of help to you.
