Basic Astrology 101. A stellium is a group of three or more planets in one sign. We have had a stellium of at least four in Capricorn since the beginning of the year. The Sun, Mercury and Venus have come and gone. Mars arrived last month. The Moon passes through for about two days of every month. This is not unusual. Stelliums occur in other signs frequently throughout the year and when they do, there is a strong vibratory influence from those signs. A certain mood and activities ruled by those signs prevail, both in everyday life as well as on the world stage.
With the concentration in Capricorn, business development, corporations, financial affairs, real estate, building, politics, government, anything involving hard work, ambition and endurance are favored. This is nicely timed with the upcoming federal elections, although things are not going very well with that, as you know. The Democratic candidates are contentious, scrambling on top of each other to get the brass ring. The current administration shows signs of arbitrary control, tarnish, corruption and a complete lack of humanitarian consideration.
On March 19-30, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto will be in close conjunction. Jupiter and Pluto are slow dancing together (exact conjunction) on March 28-April 6. As you know, Pluto is powerful, controlling, manipulative, subtle but intense. Pluto rules the big money. Jupiter expands what he touches, and this can result in cruelty, arrogance and tyrannical behavior. I’m not only referring to the current man in charge but others who have great wealth, political and corporate power. These people have a responsibility to help mankind and expedite progress. Some of them do good works but it’s the ones in government I’m worried about. They are falling way short. Most importantly, Pluto brings about permanent change. Whatever happens in the coming year will be radical and irreversible.
One other observation, not political but with some concern for the future. The spread of the Coronavirus has recently precipitated a drop in the stock market. People are more concerned with each passing day, that it will spread in our country. I consider this a Pisces/Neptune influence (infection, drugs, hospitals, quarantine) but it may become more Plutonian in nature, especially if people start dropping like flies. Astrologer Robert Hand believes it to be a manifestation of the Saturn Pluto conjunction. The pandemic may bring subtle but radical changes in daily life as we know it, but these remain to be seen. A positive outcome to hope for would be new vaccines, better and more affordable health care and perhaps a kinder, gentler way of treating our fellow man. Personal transformation, rebirth and renewal may follow.
