The Sun is in Taurus, spring is here, and this is a view of the colors on the mountains to the west, outside my home. (A little diversion from painting the planets.) Every year I try to capture that chartreuse green of the new leaves coming out. This looks pretty good although the actual painting has the best shade of yellow green, with the truest colors. In some places, there will soon be patches of white and pink.
So, we have just seen some interesting and possibly ominous transits, plus a major solar eclipse. There has been some crazy weather in some areas, violent tornadoes and such, and that unfortunate bridge collapse in Baltimore, but no cataclysmic events so far. Trouble has been brewing in Gaza and the Middle East since last October but we are still at the edge of that precipice. Nobody of great importance dropped dead yet. The Dalai Lama, Jimmy Carter, Joe Biden and that Trump guy are still with us.
I wonder how many people have had major personal events in their lives during these past several weeks. The Jupiter Uranus conjunction has especially been on my mind. Anyway, now they are separating, and their influence will be somewhat diminished. On May 23 Venus conjuncts Jupiter in the anarectic degree (last degree of Taurus), just before she enters Gemini, so for a couple of days, good luck in romance, money and creativity will fall in somebody’s lap. On May 25 Jupiter enters Gemini for the next year. In September Uranus retrogrades so his sojourn in Taurus isn’t quite over yet.
