As the New Year begins, the Sun is catching up with Pluto and the two of them arrive together in Aquarius on January 20-21. It is one thing when a planet changes signs, bringing a change in energies but it’s another when the Sun is along for the ride. In this case, the Sun illuminates Pluto and increases the focus on Pluto affairs. Pluto is subtle and stays mostly below the surface, but is powerful nevertheless. This is the planet of transformation. You might not realize what has happened until you turn and look behind you. But keep in mind, it is all for the best. Think positive. This transit may have a ripple effect for a while. Watch the Full Moon on January 25. Something could come to a head that day.
Mars enters Capricorn, his sign of exaltation, on January 4, until February 13, when Mars enters Aquarius. I wish this transit would last longer, as this sign is the best place for Mars energies to be used wisely. Mercury stations direct on New Year’s Day which is a relief for some people. Life will get back to normal. Later in the month, Venus enters Capricorn on January 23, moving closer to Mars. For a couple of weeks, in February and March, they will be in conjunction in Aquarius, kissing once again. Watch around Valentine’s Day when Mars joins with Pluto, followed by Venus. Mars makes things happen, remember. Some people, such as Capricorn and Aquarius, may have an exciting, passionate Valentine’s Day. Or a great burst of creative activity. After February 17, both love planets will be in Aquarius. On February 20-24 they will be in exact conjunction. During the time Venus and Mars are traveling together, I believe that more relationships get started. Love is in the air.
Also at the end of February Venus and Mars will square Jupiter which isn’t really a bad thing. People may be more reckless, eat and drink more or have too much fun. Around March 8-14 Mars will conjunct Saturn. There may be a slow-down effect but with patience and focus, much can be accomplished. Mars and Saturn together have kind of a push-me-pull-you effect. The last week of April Mars will conjunct Neptune. Mysteries may be revealed under this influence. Secrets may be brought to light and this would be quite inconvenient. You had better be playing your cards right or else. A positive effect is that charitable and humanitarian works can be done. Do things for others not for yourself. If you work from purely selfish motives, you will fail or be disappointed.
Jupiter and Uranus will be in exact conjunction in Taurus on April 18-22 but the influence builds up mid-March until the end of April. The fixed signs may see some changes and excitement in real estate, business and finance. Unexpected opportunities arise, and maybe some upheaval. On May 14-22 the Sun and Venus pass through Taurus. This is an exciting influence for romance and new relationships, especially for Taurus and Scorpio.
Further along in the year Mars will make various other contacts. Around July 15 Mars will cross Uranus in Taurus so watch the last two weeks of that month. Expect the unexpected. All kinds of things might happen such as business failures, violent behavior, car crashes, earthquakes or fires. Or maybe nothing of consequence, everyone will just be eccentric, rebellious or belligerent for a few days. People will elope or run out and do crazy things.
When Mars joins Jupiter in Gemini in August, success and progress can be expected. In business and development it is probably best to wait during the year until this transit comes up because you will have much better luck. These two planets together translate as “fortunate action”. This is a lucky transit for women giving birth, and for other successful elective surgery.
Jupiter enters Gemini at the end of May. Pluto Rx in 2 Aquarius makes a brief return to Capricorn in September/October. Uranus will retrograde at the end of Taurus the last week of August. The outer planets remain in the same signs all year and will retrograde again by December, except Pluto, moving briefly back into Capricorn.
On the national scene, because of Pluto and the Jupiter Uranus conjunction, crazy stuff continues to happen in the spring, as the presidential race heats up. People who shall not be named keep bending the rules. I wish I could see what is coming but I can’t. One thing is certain, there is a lack of integrity and competence in this country’s leadership. Expect the unexpected. Whatever happens, election procedures will go through radical and unprecedented changes. The Supreme Court may end up calling the shots. The constitution as we know it may be completely tossed aside. Because of prevailing winds, the constitution has become obsolete to our way of life. Things have already happened, such as the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which impacts the rights of women. That really makes my blood boil.
On Election Day November 5, Mars in late Cancer will be opposite Pluto, stationing direct at the end of Capricorn. Some kind of power play is in store, or as would be obvious with a federal election, a changing of the guard.
A comment on Donald Trump: He is currently in the lead in the Republican race for president for some strange reason. I can’t imagine why. God is playing tricks with us. In November Jupiter will conjunct his Sun, off by one degree, and stations retrograde so I don’t think that helps him much. Jupiter Rx does not guarantee success, and sometimes makes you wait. Uranus will cross his midheaven, also retrograde, so that is no help, either. Mars will enter Leo but then stations retrograde near his natal Pluto in the 12th house, and that does not bode well. Humpty Trumpty may have a great fall at that time. His Mars return won’t be until June of 2025. If you look at the picture in front of us now, he has 91 indictments against him. Whether he is elected or not he is probably headed for jail. The 12th house rules prisons, seclusion and karmic retribution. It may finally be payback time.
And there you have it! Sit loose in the saddle of fate this year!
